Of Love and Flowers

I gonna get rather mushy here......hmmm cos I am so blessed to have the love of my life. He is the sweetest, thoughtful, lovable, huggable guy. If only I can perserve all the beautiful flowers he has given me since we met. Today is the anniversary of the day we met. Of course me being me, it was just another ordinary day in office, busy busy, trying to finish up work. Then my assistant MG asked me in a rather odd manner, What day is today? I was rather shocked and almost instantly, I got worried trying to think of what I forgot? a meeting? is it her birthday? Then she walked away and still loudly asking what day is today? Then she came back with the most beautiful bunch of flower. Pinkiest, purple...hmmm have to check out what is the name of the flowers..but so beautiful and the card wrote "For the first time I lay my eyes on you". Ohhhh!! Hmmmm! told you I was going to get mushy. Ok ok...it was such a lovely surprise and such a beautiful gesture. I believe this is how a relatioship should be. Each partner plays a role in making the effort to express love to each other. It may seem silly or even trivial and often - no need to bother attitude would be there but if you take the effort to do even a small, silly, trivial gesture.....you will definitely get so much more in return. But really the effort to express love is not to expect or see what you will get in return but just the fact that you have given so much joy and pleasure to the other person, it is enough to make your heart warm and fuzzy.
