New Year Resolution

I have had my share of making new year resolutions....diet, lose weight, exercise, start doing this and that etc etc. It always starts great, with passion and determined but it never holds. Give it one week or max 2 weeks, I am back to the year before me. Typical! People don't change or at least I believe new year resolutions are not what's gonna make people change.

So, recently my hubby eager to get into the new year mood, asked me to write down and exchange our new year resolutions. The ever cynical me poo-ed and poo-ed at the idea and said no no I don't want to. Why? why? I said I am lazy to think about the resolution list which is true cos I have not even thot about next week let alone next year. Anyway, he was quick to ask me..isn't there anything I want to do next year? I took a second to think about it and yup there is something..I want to travel to Europe for a holiday with him. Hmmm that got me feeling really good, something to plan and look forward to. So maybe new year resolutions does have its plus points.

I was all ready for party this new year's eve but come today..... errr my lazy me took over. Declined all plans with 747 excuses. I decided to be good girl, cooked a new dinner dish for my parents (visit http://foodmadesimple.blogspot.com/), went out to pump petrol (prices going up again at the stroke of midnight), boiled tong sui ( hopefully to get a good complexion for the new year) and will be blogging to the new year!!

Alright....I may like to think 31/12/2007 is just another day but the significance is that at the stroke of midnight it will be 2008 and it will be another year of hopes, dreams to be fulfilled. So to all out there, May your new year resolutions and more importantly your hearts desires be achieved. Make it happen!
