6 months and more....

>> Monday, September 22, 2008

Sorry all, I know I have not been updating my blog. I started this blog entry 2 mths ago and it was titled 4 months and more. Obviously I did not complete nor post it so now it has become 6 months and more.

I have been in the States for 6 months, believe or not. Actually I should say, I have been at home for 6 months. Believe it! No more meetings, no more telecons, no more travels. Also, no teh tarik, roti canai, nasi lemak bungkus and all the glorious hawker food.

Anyway, here are some highlights of my 6 months.........yeah, I do go out once in a while :)
But here are some highights of my 6 mths in USA!

Car Show - This is definitely my hubby's thing. He is car crazy! Men and their cars. I am not exaggerating when I say that my hubby is car crazy, He has owned more cars than the numbers of years he been here in USA. And it is double digit ok. Anyway, he dragged me to the car show and I must say, it wasn't so bad. I rather enjoyed myself.

Crawfish Season - Ok...I thot I was smart and knew what this was....we have it in Malaysia too, but I was thinking crayfish but this is not...it is crawfish, looks similar but much smaller, like a tiny lobster and more work to eat it than crabs. Cos you spent all the time removing the shells to eat this tiny winy piece of meat. It was quite fun initially but after 5lbs of crawfish , it was way to much even for 8 people.

Las Vegas - Yohoooo!! The holiday that I have been waiting for. I have not been to Las Vegas so naturally I was excited. We stayed at the MGM which was neat. My dear hubby wanted to stay at the Bellagio but the prudent me nicely convinced him to use the extra monies for more shows or hmmm more gambling. Las Vegas was a lot of walking and oh my the heat........ but the hotels were beautiful and we had a great time!

Grand Canyon - since we were in Las Vegas, we took a day trip to Grand Canyon. Simply...it was magnificent.........

Six Flags - ok, this is no DisneyLand, the attraction is really the rides. And I do mean the RIDES. Not for the faint heart. The rides go up to 15 stories high, go at a speed of 150 miles..... it goes up vertical, upside down, everything you can think off. Now when I was 10 years younger, I use to have no fear and would try everything but somehow, now that I am a "little" older, it just does not thrill me no more....ok ok..I chickened out and just went for the "intermediate rides". It was a fun day for Jeh and I with Jason and Shelly.
P/s -I am so mad, somehow, I lost all the photos I took. I remember that I downloaded the photos from the camera but I no longer can find them on my computer. Boo hoo!!

Fort Worth Zoo - oh! oh! It was our wedding anniversary, hubby took the day off....and took me to the Zoo??!?!!, Museum??!!! and a romantic dinner overlooking Six Flags and the new Dallas cowboy stadium.....ok that's more like it. It was a lovely day, I like the zoo especially, comparable to the Singapore Zoo. We took our time, appreciating the animals :). The museum was good too though I am not much of a modern art fan.
The dinner was great with a beautiful view. It was a lovely way to celebrate our 1st anniversary!

Oh...By the way...incase you don't know...I am back in Malaysia! :)
