It's easier to forgive than to ask permission....

>> Wednesday, March 7, 2007

A collegue told me this interesting phrase today. I guess I need to paint a clearer context to it. Well, it just means that if we ask, confirm, verify, inform before we do something, sometimes it can never get done or we don't get permission to do it. Thus, if we don't ask and just do it......hope for the best...if it turns out well, fantastic, no harm done....everyone happy but if it does not turn out well...I guess all you can say is ooops sorry and hope the person will forgive you. So, is it easier to forgive than to ask permission? Should that be how we operate?

I think I can only give myself 6/10 for Patience today. Also my head was kinda felt a bit heavy when I am a little frustrated. I actually manage to do No 1-4 pretty well but no. 5 was a bit out. I let my frustration show in my voice and in my expression. I tend to repeat or should I say nag especially when I don't think the person is getting it. Thus I end up also being pushy too, I guess. But what do you do when people just don't deliver to you what they promised. Hmmm extremely frustrating....but I must remember PATIENCE!!

To hold or not to hold

>> Sunday, March 4, 2007

Ok I need some opinion on this matter. Imagine you are out clubbing with friends, it's noisy, it's loud and the club is filled with people dancing, drinking, having fun, etc. You are with your friends having a great time too. You, a lady decided to go to the restroom, other girlfriends not going with you but one of yr male friends wanted to go so both of you maneuvered yr way thru the crowd. He grabbed yr hand and led the way. The question - to hold or not to hold??

The question is how should yr boyfriend, fiance, husband react to this situation? Can some other guy hold his "woman's hand? Can they take the fact that their "woman's" hand is held by another guy even though it is totally platonic? Ok let's ask the question in reverse. If my guy held another woman's hand in the same situation, am I ok with that??

Well here is my take - I think it is perfectly ok for a guy to hold my hand in this situation. Infact, I think the guy is really a gentleman who knows how to take care of his lady friends. Especially in a club situation, when people are often high, they are a little rowdy, and just the sheer large crowd, I feel it is really "man" when a guy takes the initiative to hold a girl's hand and lead the way. I feel protected and safe.

My fiance needs some convincing on this matter. Ha ha....he is just being the green eye monster sometimes...objecting to any man holding my hands!
